A Hallowthanksmas Poem

When the smell of pumpkin and cinnamon fill the air
And screams and laughter are everywhere
When the moon is full and sleigh bells ring
And bats screech and carolers sing
'Tis the time of year we all hold so dear
All rejoice, Hallowthanksmas is here!

Hallowthanksmas Packaging.

Working on packaging. We got our plastic bags in today. We went for a slightly larger than postcard size to accommodate the eventual release of greeting cards with envelopes. Plus it makes it easier to take out a card. We are also working out the size and design for the Hallowthanksmas explanation piece for the back of the card pack, showcasing the various cards for use in retail. The above picture shows 1 version we are thinking of, there is another piece in development.

The Bags Have Arrived!

Okay, so it doesn't sound like a big deal, but what would we package our cards in, if not nice clear plastic, resealable bags?! We should have actual merchandise up on the Hallowthanksmas.com site within the next couple weeks. We went with a larger bag for easier access, and to accommodate the eventual release of greeting cards with envelopes.

It Truly Is Hallowthanksmas!

Yesterday I mentioned going to a local card store and seeing a display of Halloween and Thanksgiving merchandise. I returned today with my camera to find that they had added a shelf of Charlie Brown Christmas merchandise!

Our Printed Hallowthanksmas Postcards.

These are some of the postcard line we have had printed up. We will be trying to get them into some of our favorite shops in the area. We will also be printing them as greeting cards and other paper goods as money permits.

It's June 26th, and Hallowthanksmas is in the air!

Summer began just about a week ago, and a local card store I stopped by today had a Halloween display up, with some Thanksgiving mixed in for good measure! Why didn't I have my camera?! This just shows that Hallowthanksmas is here for good. So embrace and enjoy!

Wait. What is Hallowthankmas?!

Hallowthanksmas is the most magical time of year. It begins in October, and ends after Christmas. Some people throw New Years in, but for me, it's all down hill after Christmas. I've always loved Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Why not combine all 3 into a mega, beer drinkin', food eatin', friend gathering smorgasbord with a whole lot of frivolous, self indulgent spending thrown in for good measure? My love of that time of year, led to the creation of Hallowthanksmas.com! As my dear wife pointed out, (thanks hon), I should have started this blog five years ago when I actually started seriously looking into marketing this as a viable holiday. We've been celebrating Hallowthanksmas together for 5,000 years. No, wait, we've been together 10 years. And after years of saying we should do something with this, and friends and coworkers having me throw ideas at them, I finally leaped.

So, I finally got a Registered Trademark on Hallowthanksmas, formed Hallowthanksmas LLC, and we are currently getting ready to market our first round of cards this Hallowthanksmas season!
Which brings me back to the fact that here on June 26th, merchandise is already being displayed!
We've got to get going!
